Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. uses a gas chromatograph with a dual column single hydrogen flame ionization detector for direct measurement. Inject 1.0 mL of the sample into the total hydrocarbon column and methane column of the vaporization chamber. Due to the difference in filling material and length between these two columns, the total hydrocarbon first responds on the FID, and then the methane responds on the FID. The concentration of non methane total hydrocarbons (NMHC) can be obtained by subtracting the concentration of methane and the concentration of oxygen in the dehydrogenated air from the concentration of total hydrocarbons. This allows for single injection and simultaneous determination of the concentrations of total hydrocarbons, methane, and non methane total hydrocarbons. Used for the analysis of NMHC content in organized emissions of ambient air and fixed pollution sources, with simple operation and satisfactory experimental results.
