Tenax TA is an adsorbent that can quickly reach a deposition temperature of approximately 35 degrees Celsius without the need for other cooling equipment. Additionally, it does not adsorb water vapor, thus avoiding interference caused by other substances in general analysis processes.

Tenax TA is a 2,6-diphenylfuran porous polymer resin widely used for the adsorption collection of volatile or semi volatile substances in gases, liquids, and solids. It can also be used for volatile compounds in high humidity samples and as a filling material, and is used in many standard analytical methods by the US EPA (*) and NIOSH. When used in conjunction with short-range thermal desorption systems, volatile compounds at ppb and ppt levels can be detected.

Tenax TA is a porous polymer based on 2,6-diphenylfuran (2,6-diphenylene oxide), used for extracting volatile and semi volatile substances generated by air, liquid, and solid blowing. EPA and NIOSH have adopted this method as a standard analytical method for analyzing VOC components, which can detect volatile organic compounds at ppb or ppt levels using thermal analysis or blowing capture devices. Due to its low affinity for water, it is more suitable for blowing and capturing volatile organic compounds from high water content, and even for analyzing volatile organic compounds in water.
