It is primarily used in organic synthesis and also serves as a brightener in electroplating.
Hao Hanchrom (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. employed a packed column with HH-BDY as the stationary phase and H2 as the carrier gas. Using gas chromatography with a TCD detector, the separation of 1,4-butyne-diol and secondary separated components was achieved. The resolution of the chromatographic column served as the indicator for separation efficiency. The effects of column temperature and carrier gas flow rate on resolution were studied to determine the optimal operating conditions.
