This is the most critical processing technique. It is a surface passivation treatment technique aimed at forming a strong hydrophobic and inert film on the inner wall of stainless steel pipes.
Simple principle: Introduce silane compounds (such as silane coupling agents) into clean pipeline walls through gas-phase or liquid-phase processes. One end of the silane molecule chemically bonds with the hydroxyl group (- OH) on the metal surface, while the other end forms a stable siloxane chain, thus covering the active site of the metal.
The core purpose and advantages of silanization
Reduce surface activity: Encapsulate the metal surface to prevent it from reacting with the transported gases, especially highly reactive and corrosive gases such as SiH4 silane, HCl hydrogen chloride, Cl2 chlorine, WF6 tungsten hexafluoride, etc.
Reduce adsorption and desorption: form an inert layer, greatly reducing the adsorption of water vapor, oxygen, and other impurity gases on the pipe wall. At the same time, it also prevents the migration and pollution of metal ions from the pipe wall itself into the gas.
